8 employees . . . surely adequate to go from 0 to cell phone sales for $100M in revenue in a year or so

“The first initial start-up capital for Amazon.com came primarily from my parents, and they invested a large fraction of their life savings in what became Amazon.com. And you know, that was a very bold and trusting thing for them to do because they didn’t know. My dad’s first question was, “What’s the Internet?” Okay. So he wasn’t making a bet on this company or this concept. He was making a bet on his son, as was my mother. So, I told them that I thought there was a 70 percent chance that they would lose their whole investment, which was a few hundred thousand dollars, and they did it anyway.”

He was 30 years old, working alone....

Now, before you go to the programmed response of, "You're comparing UTOP to Amazon???", I'll answer that now: No, I'm not. I'm responding directly to your implication that 8 employees is not enough to run a company, as well as showing that not many start ups have a full staff of hundreds of people running around...

Hence the term "start up". What I'm merely saying is; businesses usually come form humble beginnings. I bet with a little DD, I could find hundreds of companies operating successfully today, that started with nothing more than 1 person.

We are stubborn on vision. We are flexible on details…. We don’t give up on things easily. Our third-party seller business is an example of that. It took us three tries to get the third-party seller business to work. We didn’t give up.”

“If you’re not stubborn, you’ll give up on experiments too soon. And if you’re not flexible, you’ll pound your head against the wall and you won’t see a different solution to a problem you’re trying to solve.” - Bezos

Ill stick with my assertion that I was lucky enough to get in on the ground floor of a potential up and coming cell/tech company. I'm more than willing to take my lumps on the way up, if need be.

And, I'll finish with a request for you: Please confirm to us that they have zero phones. Thank you
