I had a lengthy, enlightening call this afternoon with one of the Congressman's staffers.
Congressman Hurd's visit included meetings with individual project leaders in the energy sector, and other constituents in the Fort Stockton / Pecos County part of the district.
The Congressman's office was grateful for the additional insights and facts, to balance what was discussed on his visit.
There's no endorsement from Congressman Hurd specific to MMEX, as you can clearly see on the basis of available public information. The office is objective, and sensitive to all possibilities, and outside of general goodwill for economic development in the district, neutral on any specific project.
Attempts to conflate this visit, by MMEX proponents have largely failed, and did not move the needle to run MMEX's price up.
As has been debunked numerous times, there have been 13 refineries constructed, and made operational since 1977, so MMEX is not, as falsely, and repeatedly claimed, the first.
Have all the patience you like, but MMEX is failed out the gate, and MMEX will never build a rudimentary topping unit, let alone a refinery.
