I sign the invoice for a new car. The deal falls through if I can't get plates, insurance, or financing. The dealer gets the car back. The dealer and I are in cahoots and know the deal will fall through but it's the end of the month and the deal puts the dealer over a quota. The dealer saves thousands. I get a few hundred.
