Nothing like diluting at $2 a share for a strong dose of reality. If these senior people are indeed gone it’s because someone was forced to assess the value they were adding in light of what they were costing the company.

Conversely, if a change in control is looming it would be weird and a little cold to give them the boot now since senior managers outstanding shares normally vest automatically when a company changes hands.
