Nonsense, I always reject others hypothesizing what I like or think....as in this case.
Only thing I ‘’like’ here is the prudence and management maturity of BIEL in not revealing anything unless it is to the advantage of the company and it’s shareholders, that would be us! This is business involving many hundreds of millions over the next 20 years, not a day care for sprinters or the entitled.
When was the last time anyone saw pro coaches exchange playbooks on the sidelines before a game. The best coaches cover their mouths when calling plays or going upstairs, as it was common knowledge opponents in the bigs were retaining lip readers to catch plays and adjust. BIEL is now playing in the bigs and I salute management for realizing it. Just one deal I have envisaged, as possibly worthy of pursuing, if I were CEO, may involve north of 40,000 stores, at >10 units per week per store, 52 weeks per year, $30 per unit at retail, 20.8 Million units per year for gross sales of $624 Million..... one deal, one year, every year. Now, think 10 years out.... Think it’s not realistic?
Now, let me ask what you think. Would it be a good idea to announce that you were in discussions with that entity and thereby reveal your tactical intentions, if the other CEO had your word, and you his, that neither party, or negotiating team, would disclose that such discussions were even taking place unless all parties agreed as to disclosure protocol before doing so? Yes or no? Didn’t think so. Welcome to the world of lobbying, Big Pharma and corporate tactical warfare where intelligence is advantage ..... Press Release? News of what BIEL May or may not be doing? Forget about such nonsense!
