Especially three years of audits with multiple acquisitions and multiple subsidiaries. The opening balance sheet procedures for those acquisitions are somewhat of an audit themselves... then the consolidation process for all these subs. A NEW audit client is a lot of work the first year.
The auditors didn't set aside enough hours to work on this audit and now they're trying to finish it during their busy season...
Just a few reasons from what we can see from the outside. Less than two weeks though!! The auditors can probably see the light at the end of the tunnel now and what to get this thing issued and out the door!
