"This amount includes an upward adjustment of $15.5 million attributable to investment interest earned by the receiver on its cash held in the National Liquidation Fund (NLF). This adjustment was made to reflect WAMU’s reallocated pro rata share of the total investment earnings of the NLF as calculated on a daily basis from the receivership’s inception."

" This amount includes an upward adjustment of $15.5 million attributable to investment interest earned by the receiver on its cash held in the National Liquidation Fund (NLF)"

$15.5M x four quarters = 62M dollars in interest. How much CASH is being held by the National Liquidation Fund (NLF),in order to generate this amount of interest?

And what is this?
"WAMU’s reallocated pro rata share of the total investment earnings of the NLF as calculated on a daily basis from the receivership’s inception"

Where does one find "WAMU’s reallocated pro rata share of the total investment earnings of the NLF"?

WHERE IS? and HOW MUCH is this money????

So we are collecting interest on the money held by FDIC-R.

Using a backward calculation, if 19M represents 1% (Treasury Bill rate) of our money then it comes from 19M * 100 = 1900M or 1.9B. Hmmm, that's not a lot. I hope that there is other cash currently held by WMILT.

I just reread. The increase is for one quarter. So we have tp multiply what I have above by 4.

1.9B * 4 = 7.6B.

Johnny,

On the bottom of page 14 is a figure along with the interest earned for the month of Aug, 2007. It should be easy for someone to extrapolate the percent of interest earned and it may be close enough to figure out what the approximate principal balance is for Washington Mutual Bank.
