I still think you can do better in the bond market than bank CDs. But that is only my opinion and WTFDIK.

I have given up on the seesaw swings for my 401Ks and I'm going to change them to self directed and start cherry picking stocks that pay a decent dividend.

What are your thoughts on that move?

Having a .8% CD is such a wise investment. Everyone should have been in a less than 1.0% CD to make their investment strategies profitable......

That bank in now paying 3.25% for that same 5-year CD. Or 2.75% for a 30 months version. Good to see banks paying meaningful interest again... backed by the US... for whatever that's still worth!
