Maybe not...they are looking for me to work in fire base-camps serving as the Incidents FBAN (Fire Behavior Analyst) until my arm heals. I hold this qualification but very seldom use it as it mostly a desk job....deciphering how that locations current and future weather/fuels/topography will come together and influence fire behavior, and how that will relate to the tactics that will be employed on said fire. It also helps to have the extensive field knowledge that I do and understanding local and unique weather variables (such as Foehn Wind development in the Cascades for instance) for every Geographical area in the Country has them. I am lucky enough to have traveled to almost every state fighting fires the past 24 years...so this is something that isnt always learned in some text book.

I could just deny doing any work (Workers Comp) and hang-out and play with my kids and drink beer for the next 8 weeks while I heal surgery....decisions,decisions. Time will tell.
