if the canopy rivers operation goes public each CGC shareholder gets 1 Canopy Rivers share per CGC share and a special dividend as a cash out, normally like 12 cents a share or so - because they are cash flow positive

I obviously missed something. Where did you find information about this canopy rivers deal? It going public? And WEED share holders getting shares from it?
