Art you have some great points there. I do believe that sleeping with it on makes a difference. Not sure if it's the relaxed state or the time wearing it or both. Also great point in that even if the person doesn't feel like it's helping if you wear it often if not continuously then I believe it will help them eventually. Just reducing pain to a point where it's manageable can make all the difference in someones life. If not take the pain away entirely which is the situation at my house.
