Perhaps because there is nothing actually "confirmed" about it given the stock is almost two years delinquent in its SEC financial filings.

Stocks move up and down for a multitude of reasons. There are no guarantees a stock will move based on logic or common sense. Sometimes a stock moves simply because a "group" is behind it moving it (sometimes with skull and cross bones). All your applied logic won't make any sense in a situation like that. Your job is to determine which of the multitude of reasons is moving the stock in question.
