It may be somewhat of a shock, but unrealized gains, count for nothing. A profit or loss only happens when the shares are disposed. Therefore you have made nothing.

You know the old saying a bird in the hand etc. Is that not appropraite for IDCC.

The company has created beyond any doubt essential and vital patents for the wireless industry. It is because of management that these assets have failed to generate the profits that they should have. Management's negligence has not really impacted them, it has however affected the long term investor.(Present company accepted).

Do you think the Ericy and NEC give aways represents remarkable progress, or do you think that the Ericy give away was covered by management by the Nokia numbers, which now have turned into another nightmare.

Do you think the inability of management to set corporate goals and objectives, is progress.

I could go on and on and on, but is their really any point, you appear to have a blind spot for managemnts past and present failures.

F6 re IDCC's management you said:

...."I see a company in a VERY tough business that has made remarkable progress under its current management in recent years".

I agree that IDCC is in a cutthroat, back-stabbing industry whereby very few OEMs voluntarily want to pay for the IPR of others. However could you, or anyone else so inclined, specifically elaborate on what you think is the remarkable progress that current management has achieved. I specifically listed my perceptions of management's very recent failures and disappointments in the following linked posts, that could possibly be used as a guideline for rebuttal by specifically listing what you perceive to be are management's successes and accomplishments:
