OTCMarkets is a private corporation. They have no regulatory authority of any kind and nothing they do, including their "market tiers" or warnings, are sanctioned or approved by either the SEC or FINRA. It is all actually meaningless - just for show.

Companies like PDX pay OTCMarkets to post documents on their website. They sign a contract which allows OTCMarkets to do what they do, including applying the skull and crossbones whenever they feel like it. The SEC and FINRA have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Again, all that is just for show. It is not recognized by any securities regulator. If companies don't like it, don't sign the contract and pay OTCMarkets. It is that simple.

OTCM is a private company with made up tiers that exploits the “alternative reporting standard” loophole that US Securities regulations allow so that penny stock scams can peddle their worthless paper while looking legitimate.

Nothing OTCM does has any meaning...

Shutting the OTC down would be fine in my books.
