I concede to Mapman and your greater knowledge regarding Humira. Many anti inflamatory drugs are problematic. I pack Meloxicam but have not nor will not take unless have painful injury. Point conceded. A2-73 has anti inflammatory properties. I like ibuprofen and asprin.
AbbVie should not be vilified for selling monoclonal antibody drugs (MAB) and I think they do a Yoeman's job of balancing profit and Patient welfare. Humira aside if you will. I do not know the whole picture but AbbVie seems willing to charge less for superior drugs. I am a fan of AVXL AbbVie JNJ Janssen
i am very sorry to hear about your Mom's reaction. your Mom's generation and my generation had a belief that all doctors took The Hippocratic Oath and adhered to that tenet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippocratic_Oath
so we(i used to) will take most anything prescribed to us by a doctor without questioning or reading the label. that is not being 'stupid' it is just how we were conditioned. it is a shame it is not wise to be that way anymore.
Fireman, below is a link to a woman who has Crohn's Disease and was using Aantabloc to relieve her pain. You may want to reach out to her regarding your Mom.
Bourbon and I think Anavex should be looking at the IP for Anatabloc (owner, Rock Creek Pharma, is in Chapter 7) as it reduces inflammation. Bourbon's wife (Hashimoto's Disease) takes it as do I (arthritis). We both have sent emails to Anavex IR about this product.
