#206 RE: Volle Kraft #185

There are (2) types of contractors today and much misinformation consumers have no idea about:

#1 is the "I can do it cheaper than anyone else" and that is what Lowes or HD use, as they profit by markup of those contractors act as general contractors) when they sell services such as Home Advisor, etc... These types rush the work so badly, because their preset pay amount by Lowes or HD for said project, forces them to cut corners to eek out a very minimum profit.

#2 Are the true professional, quality minded, heavily skilled Tradesman (like myself) who is a lot like those guys on This Olde House or Today's Homeowner and care about every detail from start to finish on your job and your investment long term.

As far as the Hickory, NC region, I cannot tell you how many times we are called back on Lowes Job to correct damage and improper installation and customers mad and angry because they already paid for a service and the final result looked like sh!!t... I am talking leaving backsplash tiled walls with saw blade marks, uneven grouting, vinyl floor lifting because the subfloor luan was not glued/nailed first, just laid down, etc.. Brand new kitchen sink cabinets with massive bottom hole cut out because contractor too lazy to cap off and pull back plumbing first before installing cabinets, instead slide new cabinet over all connected plumbing losing majority of your base cabinet floor...
