Hi I-Man, if I had a choice I would prefer to have available to me better quality wood and other products. I had a Lowe's associate steer me towards a fiberglass sink when I remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. I guess he thought he was doing me a favor with a cheaper easier to handle product. He told me that was what the contractors that he worked with liked to install. Why would I want to go through the trouble to do any thing with some cheap piece of crap that I will always hate every day I use it. I want something that #1. works well #2. is durable and will last #3. looks good. I think that the contractors he was dealing with were not professionals?

Sounds like I live in a similar area as you do. I have seen a difference in what products are available here as opposed to other areas and I am frustrated by that.

Every thing you have mentioned in your post needs to be fixed by Lowe's.

Lowe's and other retailers need to respect their customers needs and wants no matter where they live.
