What do you mean he had phone and fiber? If he had fiber, that usually includes the phone and internet, and if available in his area, tv service. When we went to fiber, they got rid of our copper lines and put the phone and internet on fiber - then about a year later we got the tv service. Could it be that your friend had phone and internet on fiber and he went to cable phone services and kept the internet connection? I wasn't aware you could even do that, but if he did, that would make sense because they generate all thier bills via your phone number. If you don't have a phone number account with them they can't bill you the way they do their other customers so they probably do it via credit card. I didn't know that you could even have an account with them if you weren't a phone customer. If this is the case, it makes sense to me. BTW, you have me thinking...if I can convert my bill and have it charged each month I would prefer that method. I get points for every dollar I spend via cc so I charge everything and anything I buy - I just make sure I pay it at the end of the month. If I can charge my VZ bill too that would be $130 worth of points each month - I'm paying it anyhow so why not charge it and get credit for it?
