Trunkmonk, you could say the same thing about the
US Government! Any entity that is put into place to police the actions of other companies and agencies is prone to infiltration of "bad guys", out to make profit for themselves.
You have to look at WHY the SEC was put into place. For the most part, the SEC is TRYING to do the correct thing here.
One of the three MAJOR stock indexes of our country has kicked a company off it's exchange and the reasons it gave for doing so are what has brought the SEC investigation into being.
Some people hate the way the US Government does things too. But it is all we have. Same thing with the SEC. At present, there is no other agency with the power to investigate companies.
