-Hi I-Man, I agree with every thing you have said. Especially that Lowe's should get back to being more "Contractor Friendly".

I misspoke in my earlier post when I said I agree with every thing you said.

-I think that the continued strength in growth and sales of both Lowe's and Home Depot has been reflected in an upward PPS trend which has been going on for several years now (since the recession) for both stores. My wife and I have been adding shares of Lowe's stock to our 401 K since 1994 and have been doing very well with it. I also think that the home improvement market will continue to grow (mainly due to contractors like yourself) and that there will always be plenty of room for both stores in the USA.

-Lowe's is already in Mexico and Canada maybe they could go global?

-I think that Lowe's needs to be more "Contractor Friendly", but I also think that while working on improving their relationship with contractors, they should not forget the average home owner like myself.

-As far as Lowe's and Home Depot benefiting from Sears misfortune, wasn't that based on appliance sales? The J.C. Penny's here doesn't sell
appliances, and I personally have never seen either a Lowe's or Home Depot as part of a mall let alone an anchor at one.

-Another thought to consider is that Amazon is a big threat to the future of malls, But both Lowe's and Home Depot have demonstrated that Amazon wont be able to compete in the home improvement market through the mail.
