My opinion only but I truly believe that GTE has finally commited a cardinal sin here.
To compare an SEC investigation into a bonafide GIANT like GM to an investigation of GTE is not a good example, IMO. When it went onto the AMEX, GTE should have realized that it couldn't conduct business like an OTC:BB company any longer. Say what you like about the AMEX.....the facts are that it is a major exchange.
The SEC is investigating GTE because a major exchange has raised doubts about the validity of the company as a whole. IMO, the AMEX has basically raised concerns whether or not GTE is an honest company. The SEC is going to find out and it will pick GTE's books APART to do it. It is going to be under the microscope for a long time.
IMO, This is basically the end for GTE. It would take a miracle now for it to rise above "pink" status.
All in my opinion. Been wrong before....hope I am now for the sake of the investors who have sunk alot of cash into this.
