I finally decided to invest in $UTOP. Already knowing that mobile phone OS like Cyanogenmod, and LineageOS were built ontop of an Android base, it makes sense now. I believe that this company was likely born out of the vision to bring the Ubuntu Touch OS phone to market. Ubuntu phone was starting to come around in 2013, and was featured at 2013 CES. Later Cyanogenmod became very popular to Android users that wanted an upgraded Android experience. I used Cyanogenmod to flash to the OS, and it was always a better OS than my stock Android. It has been about a year since Cyanogenmod decided to stop developing. Out of the ashes of Cyanogenmod, we now have LineageOS; also built ontop of android. I have, in the past been extremely skeptical of $ANDI. Now I see the vision, and grasp that this is likely real. Several open-source developers have already proven the ability to make a mobile OS other than Apple or Android now. Instead of giving these systems away for free, to flash to your android phones, someone along the way seems to understand that an already great OS can be enhanced even more and combined with hardware devices to market a very good smartphone. The great thing about the Ubuntu Touch Os is that you could plug it up to your computer and boot your phone into a desktop experience. If this is going to be the case, I see Utopya also moving into production of notebooks and tablets. I imaged getting Apple or Google (Android) at .015 when it first came out. It then became a no-brainer. I'm in.
