I understand that and I encourage you to look at the sorts of companies you are dealing with and ask why they accepted your bitcoin. Now just for fun try to pay your rent or your mortgage or your car payment or toilet paper at Sam's Club.
When businesses start paying people in bitcoin, then maybe it has a chance but its fundamental problem is there is NOTHING behind it. Gold/silver have fundamental value. The US dollar has the good faith and credit of the US government behind it and is the medium through which workers are paid.
I don't want to argue with folks about this. Maybe I am completely wrong. Either way I don't care. It feels like the housing bubble to me.
