This isn't shorts. When a company releases news and the stocks sells off on higher than normal volume it tells most trades that either the news wasn't that great or the company is selling shares. Either way not a lot of interest will flow here; and for the record I own a lot of shares. GLTY.
PS...I don't see what catalyst could propel the stock to those highs by end of day?
