Thanks for this find. Seems they are primarily focused on western Canada, while we are in the eastern Canada followed by massive expansion in the US.

And looks like we are the first one to franchise board game cafes. Should be very interesting when start expanding exponentially.

One thing u learn in Catan... you own the spots with 6 and 8's, get the roads and trading routes.. you block others developments

YOU think Midtown wasn't a huge deal.... folks.. wait until u actually see it.

The key is doing it faster.

haha hows that for a game reference to competition.

Snakes has distribution and rights for many games... as the industry grows our bottom lines grow.

I love seeing the whole lot of people move this direction.. why not.. hope the whole scene takes off for the next year-2.

We get a nice run after a/u then go long.

Jackpot and I share that sentiment

How big is their place?... They say they tripled their staff to 19 people, after the second location opened. That’s less employees for two location than Snakes has for each location.... Actually, I think it’s less people than Snakes has per shift, in one location.

Also, Do you know if they have a retail store in each location and a liquor license? With such a small workforce, it doesn’t sound like it... They might not even have a full kitchen.

They talk about franchising, but that might be all it is, talk. They still have not signed any... Can franchise owners make as much profit if they dont have any retail game sales? How will they be able to compete with Snakes, especially since it costs more to buy a franchise from them?

They talk about franchising for the article, but it might be a lot more hype than substance. They might never make it past a handful of locations...

...and if they want to carry some of the most popular games on the market, they’re going to have to place some orders with us... I bet they already have!
