I believe that was part of the Gang of 8 plan to reform our immigration laws. If memory serves me correctly, the chain migration would be limited to spouse and children.
Of course that plan was stalled in the House because of certain wording to do with the border barrier.

Actually, much of what Trump asked for was in that bill, before he even came on the scene.

Doing away with the Obama's DACA order was just plain mean spirited to appeal to his waning base and try and exact his Wall that Mexico won't pay for.

Earlier in the week when they met and caught live on TV Trump said bring me the bill and I'll take the heat.

Then Anne Coulter ripped him on that so he backtracked off camera to the deal that was presented to him.

Now everyone except two people have done brain dead about what shithead said.

At least Graham came out and said this is now a shitshow.
