Most quality stocks in the 1950s traded in the range of $50-$150 a share. When they got much over that range they'd split, as Boeing often did. Prior to 1929, blue chips often traded above $200 as share. High price was seen as a sign of quality. Wall Street has returned to that thinking in recent years with Berkshire Hathaway over $300,000 a share! Splits are rare nowadays.

Looks like BA's dividend yielded about 2%-4% annually over most of its life.

I couldn't find out what BA sold for in 1950 in absolute terms. That would be in annual reports. When you look up old stocks online the price shown is usually adjusted for splits which greatly understates the actual price.
