I agree that if Abbott is really confident about the results that RECAF gives, they would retain the license and possibly market it some other way but if ABT does not feel that would garner enough profit or if the stand alone test would be too complex and the deal folds, that's death. At this point, it is ABT or nothing. The deal has to fly.
Now, this is not bashing but just reality. I have experienced several bankruptcies with stocks. The return of the license from Abbott would kill BOCX. What would happen if Moro and others can convince one or more large investors that RECAF is still viable, they would go chapter 11, reorganize and issue new stock to the new investors. Current investors would be out of luck. I sincerely doubt that if Abbott walks that any new investor would put up money so I think it would just be gone.
