Monocytes were prepared from leukapheresis products by adherence for 2 h at 37 °C, and adherent cells were cul- tured for 5 days in RPMI 1640 with 10 % autologous serum supplemented with recombinant human granulo- cyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor (Berlex) (800 units/ml) and interleukin-4 (R&D systems) (500 units/ml).
