Always a chance, but many grow ops (not just cannabis) are located in Salina's area. I'm assuming those owners have had wildfires on their mind too and have located to the safest place possible. It's the higher lands that seem to be the most vulnerable.

Not a chance. Both the Northern California fires in Napa County from awhile back and the current Southern California fires down in Ventura, LA, and San Diego Counties are hundreds of miles from where their growing site is in Monterey County outside of Salinas. Check out a map of California and you can see where Salinas is in comparison to these other areas. Also, where they're at in the valley they're far enough away from the surrounding hillsides/coastal mountains that they're not in a fire prone area. The Monterey/Salinas valley is one of, if not the most, prime agricultural areas in the U.S. The growing conditions there year round are probably the best in the whole country.
