Most telling:

"Protocols for a much larger controlled trial to begin early next year are now being drawn up as the full results of the trial led by the Caulfield Hospital, but also involving patients from the Austin, Royal Melbourne and St Vincent’s hospitals, are finalised. "

1) It was expected to begin early next year.
2) Three more hospitals have been added.

So something changed, I think a delay due to regulatory evolution is the most reasonable choice, especially with the hire of Dr. Fadiran in May.

Whatever delay we have had in the startup of the Alzheimer's trial will be more than compensated for by shortening the trial and dramatically increasing the odds of approval.

drv---nice post---all the reasons why I am invested here---all positive stuff--- I especially like the comments by Dr.Macfarlane--the person in charge of the clinical trials in Australia--this guy at the head of his field there in treating the elderly afflicted---good person to have in our camp---GLTU
