.... so it appears that there was some positive effect .... making it perhaps likely that he did receive vaccine and not the placebo.

2. I believe about 90% did at some point receive the vaccine and only about 31 patients (10%) did not receive the vaccine, at some point during the trial. So "odds are" that he did receive the vaccine (early or late).
