It just so happens that the less heinous end of the spectrum of women disrespecting happens to reside in the liberal camp right now with Franken, and the blatan pussy-grabbing, child law-breaking assault axis happens to be in the trump/moore side right now. It could turn on a dime and often has.

Perhaps, though Harvey Weinstein behaved appallingly for decades, and he's a Dem. I don't think it's really political at all. The Dems, because of their constituency, are just quicker to express contrition when they're caught.

The reality is that it's been a problem for women for millennia. Privileged women were likely to have an easier time of it, but they weren't exempt. In the fairly recent past, the 19th century, was rape even reported? I've never done any reading about that, but I'll bet it wasn't, unless the victim died. We all know about Jack the Ripper, but I'm unaware of any notable rape trials resulting from charges brought by living women.

The truth is that until pretty recently, women who were raped got very little emotional support. They were made to feel ashamed, as if they'd brought it on themselves. And even today, some Neanderthals--the "she was asking for it" contingent--apparently believe men have the right to take what they want.

While most women nowadays haven't been raped, nearly all have had to deal with unwanted attentions of one kind or another. So it really is an issue that needs to be addressed. I think those women will be expecting better from politicians of both parties.

The tribal thing is getting a little old when thrown in the face of democrats.
