And in any case, his efforts for his client haven't been very successful, though I'm sure he's done his best. Edwards failed countless times to demonstrate that he suffers from dementia. It was, of course, an iffy story, given that his wife Diana had tried the same thing years earlier.
Apparently he now wants to settle, presumably for time served. That would be fair enough; he's been in jail since September 2009. And yet no settlement has been announced. Perhaps the sticking point is that he doesn't want to tell the government where he hid the money.
