Why did they bother taking multiple death spiral loans from scum like Asher?

Why did they agree to settle with him for a reduced amount and then not pay him?

Why did they fight his lawsuit, when they clearly had not repaid him?

Why did they appeal when they lost, when the appeal had no chance?

Why did they ignore the SEC warning letter about delisting?

Why did they choose to fight the SEC about the delisting, when history has proven that they had no chance of winning?

Why will they try to continue fighting the SEC's revocation when history has shown that even filing at this stage has never prevented revocation for a company?

It appears to me that they either have a very naive understanding of legal reality, or that they feel the laws shouldn't apply to them...

Is there a better explanation?
