There are all different levels of sad in life. Today we are doing a funeral for a 30 year old mom with 2 babies, or when you turn on the news and hear and see young soldiers dying in Iraq. That to me is a terrible tragedy because they have not experienced all the wonderful things that life has to offer.
At least my friend has known what love is all about and the man she is with is one of the bravest men I have ever known. He took care of a dying wife for 10 years and some people would never be able to endure going through this again. So in a very strange way I feel honored that we are able to share this time with them.
As sad as it is to see my friend Marylou so ill, she is fighting to the very end and we are able to talk about the challenges that she is facing. She told us the other night She "refuses to die without using all of her Marriott Reward points. LOL
