Regarding prior investors/funders... its immaterial to business today.
Why didn't Oncolix go back and access those same investors again instead of settling for the deal they made? I'll tell you the most likely reason why.. Thats the extent of the risk they were willing to take as with many development deals. Progress has been slow... very slow.
There are a millions otc deals that had "smart or sophisticated money and/or management that went belly up. Valuations are made on the current condition of the company, not what took place years ago
