glow_ if there is a "ring" that Seth is a leader of, we have a clear violation of the RICO law. It is illegal for a group to collude to manipulate the price of anything, including stock. If in fact a ring exists it is an enterprise that is engaging in criminal activity. Too bad there isn't an effort being made to find out if such a "ring" actually exists.
I guess it is plain to everyone that the unfair part about it is the naked aspect, which gives disproportional weight and momentum to a legitimate short position while undermining a long position. Further, if there is not a way to absolutely excise this form of corruption, then shorting in its entirety should be illegal, imo.
