I do believe that the substance behind the topic of knives today, however, had to do with why these other manufacturers are able to manufacture these knives...
It's because they are using older technology and I believe the patents have expired.
They were litigated once for Trademark infringement and had to change their tradedress, in one case, to VMatter. Not sure about this newer start up, but virtually anyone can make a knife now, in my opinion.
