For my aunt Lorene, who died many years ago, and my aunt Caroline, who died only a few years ago... both from brain cancer, I cry.
For my uncle Chuck, who died of bone cancer, and my mom, Eleanor, who died of breast cancer, I cry.

For myself, who survived bladder cancer, and my wife Sharon, who survived cervical cancer... I celebrate.
For Dcvaxl and Dcvaxd, which may soon combat and maybe even cure many with all types of cancer... I celebrate.

Oh man! I had not seen that. It caught me right in the throat felt like I had gotten the news of my mom's brain tumor diagnosis just yesterday. Oh the agony. Jana composed the feeling in words too well.

Here is to the poems end-to the hope that one day when the news is delivered, that a patient and their family will not have the floor drop out from their feet because they will know about and have DCVax at their disposal. To the day when cancer becomes an annoyance, not a death sentence.
