Ah but what you forgot about was that as soon as the volume on the ASK gets eaten up in the past, the CD holders just kept reloading it, over and over and over. The shares are endless because the CD's are endless. Remember the CDs can't be paid off! JMHO

I doubt all retail traders combined own 1 billion shares.
Could the non-retail shares be restricted so they only can be dumped when we've reached a specific PPS?
