Just an observation, but when someone is lost on land or sea, an initial search may be confined to a box or grid, but ultimately, when that search grid is exhausted you keep on moving to another grid (and sometimes back to the original grid), simply because the human mind is unable to process an infinite grid at once, not to mention that the grid is not only breadth and length, but depth as well.

It is usually the depth of thinking at which most encounter defeat. Superficial thinking is probably our biggest handicap in daily life.

Pretty deep DD, huh?
