Looking at a slide from Lebby presentation. Apparently, can do 400Gbps using 4x50Gbps with PAM-4 modulator. Further can do 800Gbps using 4x100Gbps with PAM-4.

And looking at the most recent PR touting 50Gbps RWG modulator.

This important achievement will allow users to utilize arrays of 4 x 50Gbps polymer modulators using PAM-4 encoding to access 400Gbps data rate systems.

And Pulse-Amplitude Modulation (PAM-4) is an encoding scheme that can double the amount of data that can be transmitted.

I was thinking LWLG was going to use 50x8 but apparently I am very wrong. So I think the 4x100 referenced in the article is not needed to get 400. The PAM-4 allows the 50Gbps x 4 to act the equivalent of 4x100.

GATES.

Yes Gates, MACOM can says what they want. If the pricepoint is not there, nobody will buy it. 1 dollar per gigabite or less.

I double checked the 12 months plan Michael Lebby presented during the shareholder meeting. I can not wait for the partnership announcement but we have to be patient, imo. So, Q1 2018 I hope but could be Q2 2018 also, imo.

I will add as much as I can during this period.
