#37752 RE: I_Am_Ram #37739

What I mean is there are tens of thousands of patents based on various microprocessors and chipsets, from Intel, Taiwan Semi, Qualcomm, Broadcom, AMD, Nvidia, IBM, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, etc.

Cisco has 349 patents with DOCSIS here:

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=0&f=S&l=50&TERM1=docsis&FIELD1=&co1=AND&TERM2=cisco&FIELD2=ASNM&d=PTXT

Further, write, "Putting it all together are the claims in the patent(s)".

Getting it all to work effectively and efficiently is the hard part. Plus, must be new, useful and not obvious to be patented.

So, it's my conclusion, what does it matter who's microprocessors are used?

Cisco's total patents.
