I have read all your posts going back years. You advocate for socialized medicine...whether you want to admit it or not. I am not judging if that is the right or wrong view, but how is that "American"? Yes, drug prices are expensive, but if V is as good as we think, what you get will be the best value of any drug on the planet. They could double the price and that would be true. What do you think is the purpose of a patent or Orphan Drug Status for that matter?
Another investment of mine, ACAD, has approval in the indication for Parkinson's disease psychosis. They are the only drug approved in that indication, at over $20,000 a year. Now that's an expensive drug for what you get. How would you solve the problem on cost? Do you forget the patent's and allow generics? Approve something else, even if another potential drug has not finished running a trial? Maybe just ban the drug would solve the cost problem.
The reality is AMRN went down a path that NO ONE believed would be successful and you want to take away the reward for betting it all, which is what AMRN did, on a long shot. What's more UN American than that?
