Their salaries are not out of the norm for the tri-state area.

i have friends that work in construction that make $100k-$150k.

Heres the link:

https://comptroller.nyc.gov/wp-content/uploads/documents/220-schedule2017-2018.pdf

Heres what a laborer makes:

Laborer
Excavation and foundation work for buildings, heavy construction, engineering work, and hazardous waste removal in connection with the above work. Landscaping tasks in connection with heavy construction work, engineering work and building projects. Projects include, but are not limited to pollution plants, sewers, parks, subways, bridges, highways, etc.
Effective Period: 7/1/2017 - 6/30/2018
Wage Rate per Hour: $41.50
Supplemental Benefit Rate per Hour: $40.63

41.50+40.63 = $82.13 per hour X 40 hours per week = 3,285.20 X 45 weeks (they dont normally work 52 weeks) = $147,834.00 per year.

A laborer getting paid prevailing wages makes $150k plus.

So Kay and company are not over paid.

That is a fair wage for the very expensive cost of living in the tri-state area.

And salaries in the software engineering field start at $125k plus.
