As I hinted in my earlier post (#419198), the SP increase in response to the dividend increase and stock purchase announcement seemed rather excessive.
The MMs just need a possible catalyst to take the price way up or way down; the price action generates trading volume and hence increased profits for the MMs.
It does nothing for the average stockholder, but does generate a lot of posts on this and, I imagine, other boards.
