It looks like he left the law firm completely. So, did Duo have something to do with that? Or did the guy just move on to do something on his own or maybe he got a better job? Or maybe he realized how bad this case could be for his career and he wanted to bail because he didn't want to be part of a huge failure? The last one gets my vote!
His LinkedIn page still shows him working for the same law firm, but if it just happened yesterday, he probably just didn't update that yet.
