It does mean something and it doesn't at the same time.
The preferreds get theirs first. When the community smells doom & gloom, ANYTHING smacking of normalcy may assure the fearful, even pledged payment of distributions due stakeholders closer to the vest.
In this instance, then, my sense is that folks will see the news of this distribution and in a knee-jerk response, it's "OooooKaaaaayyyyy---we're next, right?"
Your guess is as good as mine but with no allied statement coming out indicating it's anything but business as usual, I think shorts and other manipulators are giving up the ghost, departing the manipulative arts.
This may explain our steady rise of late. Today's trading pattern and conclusion might just cement my hunch.
We hope so, right? It'll be an $8,200 payday for me. Half will be immediately eaten by the Margin God with the rest being devoured by IRAs. But I'm happy for things are moving along perfectly well.
