Unlike many people, I don't keep my life on my phone. I'd really rather not have to deal with either of those options.

But if I had to, I'd prefer the fingerprint. I do have an iPhone, but it's an old one. I swipe, it comes to life. That's fine with me.

I think it's utterly stoopid.

Just FYI, I refuse to carry a 'smart'phone at all. I do not trust them one bit. My main mobile is a voice and SMS only. I tell everyone - if you have anything urgent that cannot wait a day or two, call or SMS message me, don't email.

I don't like emailing much either anymore. I prefer voice phone calls or in-person meetings. I do have to use email, butt I try my hardest to minimize what I put in them - always thinking 'what's the worst that might happen if the worst person/entity could read this'.

When you've been through the discovery process in litigation many, many times and also been deposed/taken depos many times, you become very cognizant of how very cautious one needs to be.

Even the old Mob goombahs figgered ~OUTT to use code names and be ambiguous. Like "Big Tuna did that thing we wuz tawkin' about" instead of "Tony Acardo whacked Eddie Pastafazool."

I always make shure I tell people many times - with emphasis - if you have an urgent matter call or text me a brief note like 'call me now - 888.555.1212' and I'll gett back to you ASAP. Don't just send me an email. If you do send me an email, then call or SMS message me saying that you've emailed me something and I ought to read it. That way if they just email me and wonder why I didn't reply to their email that they marked 'Urgent!', I remind them that I told them to call or SMS message me.

This avoids the need to carry a 'smart'phone that can track my every movement, record all voices in range, and video/photo me and the people I'm with.

BTW, I also use the strategy often to turn the phone off and/or take battery ~OUTT and just Czech messages and voicemails in a burst mode every hour/couple hours/few hours - butt it depends of circumstances whether I do that or leave it on 24/7.

HTH.
